03/25/21 - Artisan Bill Plan Change
Effective immediately for new and existing Artisan policies, payment plan options will mirror what is available for all other lines of business. Traditional plans include 1-pay, 2-pay, 4-pay, and 8-pay. Our 10-pay plan is for AutoPay only.
Existing Artisan policies will continue on their current billing plan at renewal. If you want to change the current bill plan to another option, an endorsement request is required. Contact the Accounting Department if you have any questions.

The Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act effective 1/1/20 requires all employers to provide workers’ compensation coverage for their employees, regardless of annual payroll, including employers with less than $1,200 annual payroll who were previously exempt.
Despite the change, Erie and Niagara will continue to offer the optional ML-311 (6/99) Farm Employer’s Liability Coverage Schedule endorsement.

7/1/2020 - Portal Quotes - Expanded Capabilities
Our quote search functionality has been expanded from 90 days to 1 year. The default is 30 days but if you want to expand the search, open up the window via the “Search All Activity” option.
A new feature has been added which allows you to copy a quote and change the effective date. If you have multiple producer codes in your agency and want to change to a different (active) code, you now have that option as well.

4/7/2020 - COVID-19 – Updated Message to Policyholders as a Result of NYS DFS Emergency Regulation
We have updated the “Payment Accommodations” section of the "COVID-19 Important Message to Policyholders" link on our homepage (www.enia.com). This provides information related to payment relief for those policyholders demonstrating financial hardship due to COVID-19. These changes are being implemented to comply with the recent Executive Order and Emergency Regulation from the Department of Financial Services. Click here to view the message. The Department of Financial Services recently requested all authorized property/casualty insurers provide an explanation to policyholders (mail or email) reflecting the business interruption coverage available under their commercial property policy. The lines of business included in this request are business owner, commercial multi-peril and special multi-peril.

3/17/2020 - Special Announcement - Coronavirus (COVID-19)
During these difficult times, we are committed to delivering the same high level of service you have come to expect from Erie and Niagara while at the same time protecting the health and welfare of our team members.
As such, beginning March 17th we are implementing a two shift approach in order to reduce the number of staff on premise. The split shifts will be in place until March 27th at which point we will re-evaluate. The two shifts will cover our normal business hours of 8:15 am - 4:30 pm. Please note, our switchboard will be on auto-attendant from 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm but you will be able to get to a team member simply by following the prompts. Be assured that we are confident our service and response will continue to meet or exceed your expectations.
We encourage the use of our website (www.enia.com), which is available to your policyholders 24/7 in order to make payments (ACH or Credit Card) and report claims.

3/9/2020 - Binding Authority – Residential Fire
Effective immediately, binding authority on vacant/unoccupied dwellings has been increased from $150,000 to $300,000. Property coverage is limited to the sale price, current investment or market value.

We will now write Absentee Landlords (owner resides more than 300 miles from the property) as long as a local property manager is being utilized. We will require you to provide the property manager’s name, address and phone number.
For Professional Landlords, we will no longer limit the number of rentals an individual owns, nor will we require the signed Professional Landlord form.

9/18/19 - Artisan Program - Quick Quote Fact Sheet Now available
A Quick Quote sheet has been developed and is available for your use. It is located under the Resources tab in the Product Information Information and Applications & Misc. Forms Folders. The worksheet will give you an estimated premium for basic policy coverage. Online quoting should be used to develop a final premium prior to submission.
9/11/19 - BOP Program - Protection Class changes effective November 1, 2019
Our protection class list is being trimmed down to three options. Key changes include:
The Highly Protected Classification is being eliminated
Risks previously classified as Highly Protected will be included in the Protected classification
Rates to be used for the Protected class will be those previously used for Highly Protected (more favorable rate)
Risks that were already rated and classified as Protected will benefit from the rate reduction
Average Rate Reduction is 13% and varies by Class of Business
The need to reference the Highly Protected Communities Classification List has been eliminated
The available classification options will be as follows:
Protected - Building is located within 1,000 feet of an approved fire hydrant and is within 5 road miles of a responding fire department
Semi-Protected - Building is located more than 1,000 feet from an approved fire hydrant and is within 5 road miles of a responding fire department
Unprotected - All others

8/2/19 - Landlord Program Rate Reduction - Effective October 1, 2019
We are pleased to announce an average rate decrease of 6.2% for new and renewal / anniversary Landlord policies with effective dates of 10/1/2019 and subsequent. Effective immediately, we are now accepting both primary homeowner and landlord risks with a home sharing exposure. The guidelines are as follows:

Maximum of 12 weeks
1-6 weeks - no charge
7-12 weeks - $100
These are the same guidelines we currently use for seasonal homeowner risks.

Up to 4 units may be occupied as short term rentals
No maximum number of weeks rented
Short Term Rental charge - $150 per policy

4/23/19 - New Portal Function - Make Payments on Submitted Applications
This new functionality allows you to make a payment on a bound application submitted via the portal when the policy has not yet been issued. To get to this new feature, go to the Quoting tab and open up the quote that was previously submitted. There will be a "Make a Payment" button that when selected will transfer you to the payment page. Complete the information and submit the payment. The "Make a Payment" button will not display once the policy has been issued. The Accounting tab should then be used to make future payments as needed.
NYSDFS Cybersecurity Regulation Title 23 NYCRR Part 500 Section 500.11 sets forth requirements related to Third Party Provider cybersecurity practices.
The Erie and Niagara Information Security Standards which document compliance with this regulation are available for your review under the Resources tab in the Cybersecurity folder.
Also included in the Cybersecurity folder is our Third Party Vendor Information Security Policy which identifies the minimum standards necessary for your compliance with our cybersecurity practices.

A Cyber Insurance Sell Sheet has been developed to assist in explaining this coverage to your customers. The Sell Sheet is available under the Resources tab in the Product Information folder.
The endorsement provides $100,000 of coverage for a premium of $100. It can be added to your eligible Businessowner policies effective January 1, 2019 and subsequent.

11/28/18 - Underground Utility Line Coverage - Now Available in the Businessowner Program
Effective immediately, Underground Utility Line coverage is available for risks rated and classified as 1-4 Family Dwellings written in our Businessowner program.
This Erie and Niagara specific policy form provides coverage for direct physical loss to underground utility line covered property that is caused by an underground utility line occurrence at the insured premises.
The premium charge per dwelling is $15 for 1-2 Family and $25 for 3-4 Family.
Coverage is subject to a $10,000 per occurrence limit and a $500 per occurrence deductible.
Please note, this endorsement is not available for risks classified as Student Housing, Apartment or Row House.
The policy form ENIA-SF-342 (8/18) is available for your reference under the Resources tab in the Policy Forms folder.
11/19/18 - Identity Fraud ML-189 (10/01) - Now available for Farmowner policies !!
Effective immediately, the Identity Fraud Endorsement is now available in our Farmowner line of business. The coverage limit is $10,000 with a $100 deductible. The cost is $15 per each owner occupied residence.

10/23/18 - Residence Special Loss Settlement Endorsement (ML 24A) - Now Available !!
This Personal Lines endorsement is now available for Standard Homes, Seasonal Homes, Bed & Breakfast and Country Homes. It increases the amount of insurance to equal the current replacement cost of the residence, up to 125% of Coverage A limit, should a covered loss to the residence exceed the policy limit. The dwelling must be insured to 100% of full replacement cost. The premium to add this endorsement is $10.
This endorsement is not available on policies with the functional replacement cost endorsement (ML16) or policies rated on an ACV basis.
This Residence Special loss Settlement endorsement ML 24A (6/99) is available for your reference under the Resources tab in the URB form folder
10/8/18 - Cyber Insurance Endorsement - To be added to all Businessowner Policies
Beginning this week, we will be adding a Cyber Insurance Endorsement to all eligible Businessowner policies renewing January 1, 2019 and subsequent. The endorsement provides $100,000 of coverage for an additional premium of $100. An explanatory letter will be provided to the policyholder giving them the opportunity to opt-out if they do not desire the coverage. The Cyber Insurance Endorsment (CL-100 ed. 4/16) is available for your reference via the Agent Portal in the Policy Forms folder under the Resources Tab. We have also included a copy of the form for policyholder reference on our website (www.enia.com) under the Products tab.

Effective immediately, for all renewal inspections assigned to Mueller Services, a postcard notification will be sent to the policyholder alerting them of an upcoming inspection. 8/8/18 - Commercial Lines - Insurance Proposal Now Available !!
We are pleased to announce the availability of an Insurance Proposal option for commercial business.
For new business quoted via the Agent Portal, a "View Proposal" option can be selected when the quote has been completed. You continue to have the option to view the worksheet as well.
Additionally, when we provide a new business quote in the Commercial Fire and SMP lines of business, the underwriter will automatically include an Insurance Proposal along with the quote worksheets.
We also have the ability to provide a similar Proposal for existing policyholders. So if you would like a Proposal for a renewal term, simply contact the Commercial Underwriting Department with your request. Insurance Proposals for renewal terms are available for our BOP, SMP and Commercial Fire lines of business.

8/1/18 - Commercial Lines - Change in Binding Authority
The Binding Authority Schedule has been updated to reflect an increase in Property binding authority for Businessowners (BOP), Special Multi-Peril (SMP) and Commercial Fire from $1,500,000 to $2,000,000 per Risk Area.

7/24/18 - Homeowner Program Rate Reduction
Effective 9/1/18 we are reducing our Homeowner rates anywhere from 4% to 10% depending on the Coverage A Limit. The policy forms to which the change applies include ML-1, ML-2, ML-3 and ML-5.

4/2/18 - Personal Lines - Revised Photo Requirements
Effective immediately, we will no longer require photos on new Personal Lines business. This includes the Homeowner, Manufactured Home, Landlord and Residential Fire lines of business.
While highly recommended, photos are not required unless the risk is inaccessible or located on an island.
Often times we are able to determine the acceptability of a risk with agent provided photos. If photos are not received, it may result in an inspection of the property.

3/19/18 - Inland Marine - New Policy Form Available
Effective immediately, the Loss Payable Provisions form (MR-127 Ed. 10/17) is available for new and existing business.
Up to this point, we have been limited to listing additional secured parties on the Declarations Page. This new form allows for scheduling with a greater level of detail regarding Loss Payable interest.
You can add the form to existing business by submitting an endorsement request.

3/8/18 - Liquor Liability (LS-34) - Now Available for Liquor Stores
Effective immediately, liquor liability coverage is now available for Liquor Stores under the Businessowner Program. In order to be eligible for coverage, the closing time can be no later than 9:30 PM.
For additional details including rate and limits, refer to the online Businessowner Manual.
The suggested deposit premium for new business has been lowered from 25% to 20%. This applies to all lines of business.
We have also expanded our AutoPay program to include a 10-Pay Plan. This is available for all lines of business except Artisan or when the total policy premium is less than $250. Please note, the 10-Pay option is only available if the policyholder is enrolled in AutoPay.

2/28/18 - Ordinance or Law Coverage - Now Available in Landlord Program
Effective immediately, Ordinance or Law Coverage is now available in our Landlord program. The premium charge for this coverage is 10% of Coverage A & B, FL-48 and FL-48A premium.

Primary and Non-Contributory Coverage LS-39 (3/13) and Waiver of Subrogation LS-12 (8/12) are now available for use in the following lines of business: Businessowner, Special Multi-Peril, Commercial Fire and Farmowner. Please note, they are not available for use in the Artisan Program.
The Primary and Non-Contributory form (LS-39) can only be added if accompanied by an additional insured endorsement. The premium charge is $50 per additional insured and is fully earned.
There is no charge for the Waiver of Subrogation (LS-12) endorsement.

9/19/17 - New Feature - Inspection Alerts
We have added a new feature to the Underwriting tab that allows you to determine if an inspection request has been made on a policy. There are two different areas to view the alerts.
On the Search Underwriting screen, you will be able to view any recent (less than 30 days old) inspection requests made for policies you have rights to view (based on producer code authority). Additionally, after you search for a specific policy record, if there is a recent inspection request on that policy, you will see a message indicating an inspection is pending.

8/2/17 - Country Home Program - Now Available !!
Our new Country Home Program is now available to quote with effective dates of 9/1/17 and subsequent. When you select the Homeowner line of business for quoting, you will see the Country Home option in the "occupancy field" drop down menu.

In consideration of the new cybersecurity regulations, we are changing the password policy for our e-commerce site. This new policy will be effective August 15, 2017.
At that time, user accounts that have not had a change of password within a ninety (90) day period, will be required to do so. And going forward, passwords for user accounts on our e-commerce site will have to be changed every ninety (90) days. There are a minimum of eight (8) characters required for passwords.

2/1/17 - Commercial Farm Umbrella - New Program - Now Available!
We are pleased to announce availability of the new Commercial Farm Umbrella Program
effective 2/1/17 on newly adopted and approved AAIS forms.
The basic policy limit of $1,000,000 may be increased up to $5,000,000 and is available
for eligible Erie and Niagara Farmowner policies written with LS-6 Ed. 9/02 General
Liability Coverage Business General Liability Insurance (Extra Coverage).
As agents do not have binding authority for Umbrella coverage, the following will
be required for a Commercial Farm Umbrella quotation:
Current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for each driver
The manual will be available for your reference in LaunchPoint for eligibility,
minimum underlying policy requirements, coverage information and complete program
rules and rates. Other LaunchPoint resources include the Supplemental Farm Umbrella
Application, a self rating form and the AAIS forms.
Our umbrella products are written through Cherry Valley Cooperative Insurance Company
which is rated A- by A.M. Best and is an affiliate company of Erie and Niagara.

Effective immediately, binding authority has been increased as follows:

12/1/16 - AutoPay EFT Recurring Payments - Now Available!
Effective immediately, Erie and Niagara's AutoPay EFT Recurring Payments is now
available.
AutoPay allows for the insured's policy premium to be electronically withdrawn from
their checking or savings account automatically. This is a FREE service. We are
waiving the $5 installment fees when an insured signs up.

10/4/16 - Homeowner Program Changes
Effective today, we have expanded eligibility for Seasonal Homeowners with rental
exposure. Seasonal Homeowner policies can now be written with up to 12 weeks of
rental. The additional premium charge for dwellings rented 7-12 weeks will be $100.
Also effective today, our Elite Homeowner Program is available for quoting with
effective dates of 11/1/16 and subsequent. The Homeowner Manual, available under
the Resources tab, has been updated to include guidelines for the Elite Program.
And lastly, effective 11/1/16, dwellings (primary and seasonal) 20 years or newer
will receive a new home credit as follows:
1-10 years - 10%
11-20 years - 5%

9/1/16 - Underground Utility Line Coverage - Landlord Program - FL342 (4/16)
Effective immediately, Underground Utility Line Coverage is available in our Landlord
program. The premium charge for this coverage is $15 for 1-2 Family and $25 for
3-4 Family.
Form FL-342 (4/16) provides coverage for direct physical loss to underground utility
line covered property that is caused by an underground utility line occurrence at
the insured premises. Coverage is subject to a $10,000 per occurrence limit and
a $500 per occurrence deductible.

8/18/16 - Policy Loss Runs - New Feature Now Available
A new feature has been added to Launchpoint which allows you to run Loss Reports
for your policyholders. To do this, go to the Underwriting tab and retrieve the
policy record (need policy #). Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the
link "Run Loss Report" which is on the bottom right. A new window will open with
Loss Run detail. The default is 3 years prior plus current term. There are also
options to run a 1 year and 5 year report. If you have questions, contact the Underwriting
Department.
8/9/16 - New BOP Eligibility - Multiple 1-4 Family Rental Dwellings
Effective 8/1/16, we will now allow multiple 1-4 Family Rental Dwellings to be written
on a single Businessowners Policy. Total rental units must equate to 5 or more to
qualify. Due to current system limitations, risks with 5 or more buildings should
be submitted for quoting.
This is an alternative to those of you that currently write individual Landlord
policies for insureds owning multiple dwellings.
7/7/16 - Personal Umbrella Policies - Change of Mailing Procedure
Effective 8/1/16, all new and renewal Cherry Valley Personal Umbrella policies will be mailed
directly to the policyholder.
We will continue to mail all new and renewal Cherry Valley Personal Farm Umbrella policies to the agency.

6/7/16 - HO & LL - Zone 2 Guidelines
Effective today, protected zone 2 guidelines have been amended for the Homeowner
and Landlord lines. (Please note EzLynx and PL Rating do not currently reflect these
changes however they will in the near future)
Replacement cost rating will now be available for well-maintained risks in good
condition. We will require insurance to value on all new Homeowner and Landlord
policies. Our replacement cost rates require 80% of full replacement cost and our
ACV rates require 50% of full Replacement cost.
Insurance regulations require the anti-arson application on all tenant occupied
risks in Buffalo and Rochester however we will no longer require Erie and Niagara's
Zone 2 supplemental application.
Existing policies will need underwriting approval prior to amending to replacement
cost rating.
Protected Zone 2 cities include: Albany City, Binghamton City, Buffalo City, Niagara
Falls City, Rochester City, Schenectady City, Syracuse City, Troy City and Utica
City

10/30/15 - Personal Lines Endorsements - Enhancement
Effective Monday, November 2nd, we are introducing an improved screen view for endorsement
processing. This change applies to Homeowners, Manufactured Home, Landlord and Residential
Fire.
For premium bearing endorsements, you will be able to determine the new annual premium
along with the additional or return premium associated with the change. A change
quote worksheet will also be available. Once submitted to the Company, the endorsement
paperwork and any revised billing will follow.
Please note, you must submit the endorsement request the same day it is completed
as the system refreshes overnight and resets by 6:00 am the following day.

Effective immediately, this online tool has been enhanced and will automatically
extract public data and provide total square footage information to include basement
type (ie., slab, finished, unfinished). We trust you will find this enhancement

9/8/15 - BOP Program Changes
Effective immediately, we have implemented a Hazardous Condition Surcharge of 50%
to be applied if the insured property is not in operation at the time coverage is
bound. When the commercial exposure is in operation, the surcharge will be removed.
It is expected the risk will be fully operational within the first 60 days of coverage.
Additionally, please note we are implementing minimum premiums for the following
classes of business effective 11/1/15 for new business and 2/1/16 for renewals:
Restaurants - $750
Bars, Taverns - $1,000
Banquet Halls - $1,000
Convenience Stores with gas - $1,000

also provides direct access to Erie and Niagara, enabling you to bind and issue
policies without having to re-key data.
You will need to set up your credentials for Erie and Niagara. Click on the Erie
and Niagara Real-Time Rate link in the companies section on PL Rating™.
After clicking the link, the Real-Time Passwords Dialog Box will display. Enter
your Launchpoint Username, Password and Agency Code (you will need to include the
"1NY" before your 4 digit agency code) and click SAVE. Please Note: These credentials

This document has been updated to reflect information for the lines of business
available to quote online. They include: Artisan, BOP, Farmowner, Homeowner, Manufactured
Homeowner, Landlord, Inland Marine and Residential Fire.
2/19/14 - Added Water Damages Coverage - Change of Form - Personal Lines
Effective today, we will be replacing the ML-72 (01/08) and FL-72 (07/08) forms
with the recently approved ML-72A (05/13) and FL-72A (05/13). The ML series applies
to the Homeowner and Manufactured Homeowner lines of business while the FL series
applies to Landlord and Residential Fire.
The new forms allows for higher limits that are "in addition to any other Added
Water Damages Coverage contained in the policy". The prior form language combined
all Added Water Damages Coverage contained in the policy and listed the total amount
on the endorsement. Our adoption of the new forms should alleviate any confusion
in determining the amount of insurance being requested.
The online Agent Manuals will be revised to reflect this change. If you have any

1/10/14 -Erie and Niagara now available on EZLynx
Effective immediately, the Erie and Niagara Homeowner product is available for quoting
on EZLynx. If you are an EZLynx subscriber and want to add Erie and Niagara to your
Company options, please contact them directly.
1/6/14 - Additional Insured Endorsement - Personal Lines
Effective today for all new business written in the Homeowner, Manufactured Home
and Landlord lines of business, we are adopting the ML 315A (06/99) Additional Insured
Endorsement. This endorsement replaces the previous Additional Insured forms ML
41, FL41, FL41L and FL44. Any existing policies currently utilizing the prior version(s)
will continue without change. Please refer to the appropriate product manual under
the Resources tab for additional detail.
Effective today, we will be sending mortgagee copies for all lines of business directly
to the mortgagee. A majority of these will be sent electronically. Please alert
your staff of this change.

11/5/13 - Manual Update
The Businessowner Manaul has been updated to include detail regarding the Deluxe
BOP and SMP Extender Endorsements which became available effective 11/1/13. Please
refer to the 7/29/13 announcement below for additional information.
10/2/13 - Product Portfolio Update
The October 2013 edition of the Product Portfolio is now available for your use.
This update removes extender endorsements that are no longer available. Effective
11/1/13, they are being replaced with Erie and Niagara specific endorsements EN-DBXTD
(5/12) and EN-MPXTD (10/12) which provide broader coverage than any of those previously
in use. Form EN-DBXTD is available on our Deluxe BOP program at a charge of $125
per location. The EN-MPXTD is available on business written in our SMP program at
a charge of $175 per location. Please refer to the announcements below dated 7/29/13
and 8/2/13 for additional detail regarding this change. Additionally, there are
some minor cosmetic updates included in this release.
9/17/13 - Manual Updates
The Homeowner, Manufactured Home and Landlord manuals have been updated to include
information regarding an increased hazard surcharge which applies to insured property
that becomes vacant or unoccupied during the policy period. The updated manuals
can be viewed under the Resources tab.
9/6/13 - Landlord Product Webinar
We are pleased to announce the release of our second product webinar which includes
a comprehensive review of our Landlord program. You can find the webinar in the
Product Information folder under the Resources tab. The run time is approximately
ten (10) minutes. It is appropriate for new staff or anyone looking for an update
/ refresher on what Erie and Niagara has to offer. Additional product webinars are
in development. Our next release will be for the Residential Fire line of business.
8/2/13 - Product Portfolio Update
The Product Portfolio has been updated to include information regarding the newly
approved Deluxe BOP and SMP Extender Endorsements. The new endorsements are available
for business effective 11/1/13 and subsequent. Please refer to the announcement
below dated 7/29/13 for additional detail regarding this change.

7/29/13 - Newly Approved BOP and SMP Extender Endorsements
Effective 11/1/13, we are introducing new Extender endorsements for our BOP and
SMP lines which will replace those currently in use including the SF-500, SF-513,
SF-514, SF-515, SF-516, SF-517, SF-518, SF-519 and SF-520. The exception would be
our Restaurant Enhancement Endorsement, which will continue to be available.
The new Erie and Niagara specific endorsements EN-DBXTD (5/12) and EN-MPXTD (10/12)
provide broader coverage than any of those currently in use. Form EN-DBXTD will
only be available for our Deluxe BOP program at a charge of $125. The EN-MPXTD is
available for business written in our SMP program at a charge of $175.
The new forms can be viewed and/or printed by going to the Policy Forms folder under
the Resources tab in LaunchPoint. Since we will no longer be using the old forms
subsequent to 10/31/13, you can expect to hear from our Underwriting team with a
request to either move to the new form or eliminate the Extender altogether. Eliminating
the form will require a Conditional Notice.
Please refer to the forms for detail on the coverage afforded. You should consider
offering to all policyholders written in our SMP or Deluxe BOP program. If you have
questions, contact a Commercial Lines Underwriter or your Marketing Representative.

The latest versions of the Farmowner and Landlord manuals are available for your
reference under the Resources tab. They both include revised (lower) Mechanical
Breakdown rates which were effective 1/1/13. The Farmowner manual also includes
updated Rate Level detail which was effective 9/1/12.

2/21/13 - Agent's Online Bulletin

The highlight of the Bulletin is the announcement of the release of online quoting
for our Residential Fire line of business effective Monday, February 25th.
2/4/13 - New Quoting Platform to be released next week !
Our new and improved quoting platform will be released on Monday, February 11th.
We have been working with approximately thirty (30) test agents over the past two
months to ensure a smooth transition.
When you log in next week you will see a slightly different look. Major upgrades
include improved quoting programs for Homeowner, Manufactured Homeowner, Landlord
and Businessowner. The BOP in particular has been significantly upgraded and is
much easier to navigate.
As a reminder, when we cut over to the new system, quotes prepared on the retired
platform will no longer be available for you to view or modify. However, our staff
will still be able to retrieve quote worksheets. So if you need a worksheet, contact
the appropriate Underwriting Department and we will be happy to assist.
We apologize for any short term inconvenience this may cause and trust you will
be pleased with the upgrades that have been made.
1/11/13 - Agent's Online Bulletin - Special Announcement

This Special Announcement is to inform you of our plan to transition to our new
quoting platform on 2/11/13. We have been working with a group of approximately
thirty (30) test agents since mid-December to ensure a smooth transition. Please

12/12/12 - Superstorm Sandy - Moratorium extended an additional twenty-one (21)
days
We have just learned the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYS DFS)
has extended the Superstorm Sandy non-renewal and cancellation moratorium an additional
21 days. The moratorium which had been previously extended, was due to expire December
16, 2012. This further extension means the moratorium will now expire on Sunday,
January 6, 2013. We continue to make every good faith effort to comply with NYS
DFS directives. If you have any questions regarding the process or how policyholders
are affected, please do not hesitate to contact us.

11/26/12 - Superstorm Sandy Update
As you may know, the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYS DFS) extended
the Superstorm Sandy non-renewal and cancellation moratorium an additional 21 days.
The moratorium was due to expire November 25th. The extension now runs through December
16, 2012. We are making every good faith effort to comply with NYS DFS directives.

11/14/12 - Storm Sandy Update
As many of you are aware, on November 5, 2012 the New York State Department of Financial
Services (NYS DFS) issued an executive order regarding suspension of certain insurance
law provisions related to Storm Sandy. The key points of the order are:
Prohibits termination, cancellation or non-renewal of any "covered policy" as defined
by Insurance Law Section 3425 (personal lines) and 3426 (commercial lines)
Order imposed on policies with risk locations and mailing addresses in the counties
of New York, Bronx, Brooklyn/Kings, Richmond, Queens, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester,
Rockland and Orange
Moratorium is effective October 26, 2012 (retroactive) and is for 30 days (or until
further notice)
Individual policyholders may cancel their policy during the moratorium
We recognize the devastation and hardship caused by Storm Sandy, and we are making
every good faith effort to comply with NYS DFS directives and be reasonable and
compassionate to our policyholders affected by the storm. If you or the insured
have any questions or concerns regarding the process, please do not hesitate to
contact us.

3/15/12 - Manual Update - Dwelling Fire
The rate summary sheet which was released on 3/9/12 is now included in the Dwelling
section of the Manual. The rate summary replaces the detailed rate pages that were
previously included. This has been done in order to help simplify the process of
rating from the Manual.
3/9/12 - Dwelling Fire - New Rate Summary Sheet
This new one page rate summary has been developed to assist in determining an estimated

Effective 9/1/10 there will be an increase in farm liability rates. The dollar amount
of increase is minimal and varies depending on the limits of liability. The rates

1/27/10 - New Version of Launchpoint
A new version of Launchpoint has been released. Some of changes in this version
include:
New Imageless Tab strip.
The tabs at the top of most pages will be changed so that the strip has the ability
to break itself into multiple lines instead of running off to the right of the screen.
This helps pages stay centered in your window.
The new tabs are part of an effort to reduce the file sizes of our pages and improve
loading times.
The Report a Claim form now generates a .PDF file instead of a .TIFF file. This
should prevent any problems that you may have had opening or printing the loss notice.

This updated application has been expanded to include some of the more common coverage
enhancements available in the Homeowner program. The form is located in the Applications
and Forms folder under the Resources Tab.
8/28/09 - Artisan Program - Form Updates
A copy of the Disclosure Notice (ENIA-ART-DISC Ed. 4/09) that will be included with
Artisan policies renewing November 1, 2009 and subsequent is available under the
Resources tab in the Policy Forms folder. Copies of the new policy forms are also
available for your reference in the AAIS Forms folder.
As a result of this form update, we are required to send Conditional Renewal Notices
to Artisan policyholders. This process will begin September 2, 2009
8/3/09 - Homeowner's Program - Identity Theft Resolution Service
This service, which is provided by Identity Theft 911®, will be included on
all primary homeowner policies at no additional charge. Please refer to form ENIA-HO-IDT911
for further detail about the service. A copy of the form is available in the Policy
Forms folder under the Resources tab.
7/27/2009 - Enhancement -
for uploading Statements of No Losses
For your convenience, we have given you an additional selection for uploading documents
to us. If you have a signed Statement of No Losses to send us, simply click the
"Contact us about this policy" button. It is available from the Accounting and Underwriting
tabs. Fill in your name and e-mail address. Next, from the drop-down list under
"Request Type" select Statement of No Loss and attach the document under the "Attachments"
section. Once you hit the submit button, you'll get a confirmation from us showing
we received your communication, and we'll get the document available for viewing
right at our desktops within seconds.

4/17/2009 - Credit Card Option for Deposit Premium Payment
We have added Credit Cards as a Method of Payment when converting your Personal
Lines quotes to applications and uploading to Erie and Niagara. This is available
for the Homeowners, Mobile Homeowners and Landlord lines of business. This is in
addition to the ACH (EFT) from checking or Mail options. We accept Visa, MasterCard
and Discover.

11/10/2008 - Form Update - 2009 Residential and Commercial Replacement Cost Estimators
The new estimators and instructions are now available under the Resources Tab in
the Applications & Misc. Forms folder. The estimators can be used for business
effective 1/1/09 and subsequent. These are fillable forms which calculate values
based on your input. You also have the option of saving the documents to your desktop.

The new Residential and Commercial Replacement Cost Estimators for 2008 and instructions
for their completion are now available for your use under the Resources Tab.
We have formatted the Estimators to calculate a value based on information you enter.
Be sure you print the document before you close as they cannot be saved.
Please discontinue the use of any prior versions.

8/22/07 - Update - Agency Manual, Product Portfolio, Applications and Forms
We are pleased to announce effective 10/1/07 for all NEW, RENEWAL and EXISTING business
under the Artisan program, the maximum Limit of Liability available will increase
from $500,000/$1,000,000 to $1,000,000/$2,000,000.
As a result of this change, we have updated our Agency Manual and Product Portfolio
along with related artisan applications and rating worksheets.
We have also made available the AAIS and Erie and Niagara specific policy forms
used for the Artisan program.
Additionally, we have upgraded all of our Applications and Miscellaneous forms to
allow the option of data entry directly on the forms.
All of this updated information can be found under the Resources tab. Further details
regarding these changes and enhancements will be included in our Agent's Bulletin
which will be released shortly.
8/13/07 - Update - Claim Reporting
As a result of input we received during our Spring Agency Meetings, we have modified
the Claim Reporting feature in LaunchPoint. An ACORD loss notice is no longer required.
Simply complete the required information following the screen prompts and a completed
Loss Notice will be returned to you with an e-mail acknowledgement. While the Loss
Notice was designed specifically for Property Losses, you can also use it to report
Liability claims. Attachments can be included up to 2MB in size. Required fields
are designated with a red asterisk. All others are optional.
You will find the "Report a Claim" feature under the Accounting, Claims or Underwriting
tabs in LaunchPoint. If you have any questions regarding claim reporting, please
contact Michael O'Shei or Renee Rozanski in our Claim Department at 1-800-234-9876.
6/29/07 - Update - Product Portfolio
The July '07 version of the Product Portfolio is now available for your reference.
Please discard any prior versions. The Product Portfolio, in PDF version, can be

6/15/07 - Manual Update - General Information and Product Eligibility, Rates and
Coverages sections
This latest update to our Agency Manual includes BOP and SMP rate information reflecting
the reduction that is effective 7/1/07. We have also updated the Homeowner, Mobile
Homeowner and Landlord section of the manual to reflect limits and premiums for
coverage within agent's binding authority. Additionally, the General Information
section includes expanded detail on our Broker of Record / Change of Agent procedures.
5/23/07 - BOP and SMP Rate Changes effective 7/1/07
BOP Building and Contents rates have been reduced by 10%. We have also changed the
SMP package modifier from .75 to .70 resulting in an additional 6.67% rate reduction.
This is in addition to the 6.25% rate reduction for SMP which was effective 11/1/06.
This change applies to new and renewal business effective 7/1/07 and subsequent.
Updates to the online Agency Manual and Product Portfolio reflecting these changes
will be available shortly.

A printable payment stub is now accessible from the Accounting Tab. This new page
displays the due date of the most recent bill as well as the current minimum due
and current balance of the policy. The link to this new page can be found in the
"Accounting Detail" section at the top of the Accounting Tab.

Copies of the presentation and questions from our 2007 Spring Meetings are now available
in our Resources Tab. You can find these documents under the new "Spring Meetings
2007" folder, or by following the link from the welcome page.
4/26/07 - Form Update - Supply Requisition Form
An updated fillable PDF Supply Requisition Form is now available for your use. You
can find the new form in the Miscellaneous folder of Applications and Misc. Forms
under the Resources Tab. Upon completion of the requisition form, simply print it
out and fax to the number on the top of the form.
4/4/2007 - Enhancement - Internet Explorer 7 Support for Quoting
Our Quoting application now supports Internet Explorer 7. This fixes the error where
users who had IE7 would not get any response when they clicked on the "New Client"
button.

We are pleased to introduce the Erie and Niagara "Product Portfolio". This quick

3/1/07 - Manual Update - Current and Prior versions now available
For your reference and convenience, we now make available a Current and Prior version
of the Agency Manual. Both versions are available in the Manuals file under the

3/1/07 - Form Update - Commercial Replacement Cost Estimator
This new estimator is a tool to aid in computing replacement cost value of most
commercial buildings. Values are approximate and judgment factors should be considered
for non-standard structures including superior/inferior finishes and amenities.
The new estimator is available under the Resources Tab in the Commercial Lines folder
of the Applications & Misc. Forms option.
2/16/2007 - Enhancement - 2007 Spring Agency Meeting Registration
Registration for our spring agency meetings is now available on line. You can also
use this form to edit or cancel your registration at a later date. Meetings begin
April 17th and run until May 2nd.

In order to ensure that your first view of the Underwriting tab contains the most
recent policy information, we have changed the tab to display policies based on
the date that a change was processed instead of by the date a change goes into effect.
In addition we have also added a new section to the Underwriting tab that lets you

11/03/2006 - Form Update - Restaurant & Tavern Questionnaire
We previously announced some exciting changes to our Restaurant and Tavern coverage
which became effective 11/1/06
In conjunction with these changes, a new Restaurant / Tavern Questionnaire (Ed.
11/06) has been developed for your use when submitting this business. We require
completion of this Questionnaire on all risks that have a bar area.
The new Restaurant / Tavern Questionnaire can be found in the Resources tab under
Applications and Miscellaneous Forms in the Commercial Lines folder.
10/24/2006 - Enhancement - Policy Loss Run Requests
In order to further enhance our service capabilities, we have added "Policy Loss
Run" as one of the "Request Types" on the "Contact Us About This Policy" button.
Submitting your loss run requests this way allows us to process them more efficiently
and return your results faster. Whenever you need individual policy loss runs you
should consider using this LaunchPoint enhancement.
The "Contact Us About This Policy" option is available from the Accounting and the
Underwriting tabs. Simply search for the appropriate policy then select "Contact
Us About This Policy". Fill in your name and e-mail address. Next, in the drop-down
menu under "Request Type" select "Policy Loss Run" then click "Submit". You can
also include a narrative message with your request if you desire. An e-mail acknowledgement
of the request will be sent to you.
8/17/2006 - Manual Update - SMP & BOP
An update has been made to our product manuals for the Special Multi-Peril and Buisnessowners
lines. For SMP the modifier is being reduced from .80 to .75 resulting in a policy
credit of 6.25%. This applies to all new and annual renewals effective November
1, 2006
The BOP manual has been update to reflect changes to Restaurant and Tavern Coverage
also effective November 1, 2006. These changes include:
Restaurant eligibility is being changed to offer either Standard or Deluxe BOP with
a minimum of one year owner management experience.
Restaurants with a small bar area (alcohol sales less than 50% or receipts) are
now eligible for liability coverage.
Taverns (where alcohol sales equal 50% or more of total receipts) are eligible for
property and liability coverage under either the SMP or Commercial Fire program.
The Assault and Battery exclusion will be added to any risk with a bar or tavern
exposure.
Bars that have dance floors, live bands, bouncers or host sporting activities (volleyball,
baseball, etc.) on the premises will remain ineligible.

8/16/2006 - Enhancement - Cherry Valley Umbrella Manuals now Available
A complete and updated version of our Umbrella Manuals for Personal and Farm are
now available on our e-commerce website, LaunchPoint. You will find them in the
Resources tab under the heading Manuals.
The Personal Umbrella manual reflects revised minimum premiums which are effective
on new/renewal buisness beginning 1/1/07. The Farm Personal Umbrella rates/minimums
are current and have been in place since 1/1/06
8/15/2006 - Manual Update - Direct Mailing of Refunds Checks
By popular demand, Erie and Niagara began mailing refund checks directly to insureds
effective August 15, 2006. You will see an updated reference to this new procedure
in our Agents Manual - available on-line through LaunchPoint (Resources Tab - Manuals
- Billing). The insured will no longer see references to contact you about the refund
on any documents from us.
5/8/2006 - Enhancement - Agency Manual Now Available Online!
You now have ready access to the ENIA Agency Manual. Simply go to the Resources
Tab in LaunchPoint and select "Manuals". The Manual is divided into four basic categories:
Billing
Claims
General Information
Product Eligibility, Rates and Coverages
Simply select the appropriate manual to open it in a PDF format
Online access provides you with tools to quickly find the information you are looking
for. Whether you use the Bookmarks tab that includes a hyperlinked outline or the
search function by clicking on the binocular icon, you will be able to quickly find
the information you are looking for!
5/8/2006 - Enhancement -
This new link allows you to report a claim. To report an initial claim on a policy,
click on the Claims tab and select the "Report a claim" button. Complete the form,
making sure to complete all required fields that are designated with an asterisk.
Use the browse feature to attach the Loss Notice (Required for submission.)
To report an additional claim for a policy, click on either the Underwriting or
Accounting tab and select the "Report a claim" button. (The button will not be available
under the Claims tab if there is an existing claim for the policy.)
5/8/2006 - Enhancement -
Prior to this most recent enhancement, you were able to submit an endorsement request
via the "Contact us about this policy" button. To simplify the process, we have
added a direct link to submit an endorsement request on the Accounting and Underwriting
tabs. The form will automatically pre-fill pertinent policy information, and the
default Request Type will be Endorsement. Otherwise, the form mirrors the "Contact
us about this policy" form to which you are accustomed.
4/3/2006 - Enhancement -
This button allows you to contact us about the policy you are viewing. The button
can be found in the "Accounting," "Claims," and "Underwriting" tabs.
Generally you would use this button to:
Submit an endorsement for a specific policy
Forward attachments such as Replacement Cost Estimators, photos, etc. (Attachments
are limited to 2MB)
This button, found on the Claims Tab, allows you to view all open claims for the
agent codes you have access to in LaunchPoint. After selecting the "View open claims"
button, you will be directed to a list of all policies that presently have open
claims. From the list, you can simply click the claim number hyperlink to be directed
to the claim information available.
